Becoming a Member

Do you sell gift cards? Toggle Question

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer gift cards. However, you can gift a membership online at any time.

Can I apply my admission fees toward the purchase of a membership? Toggle Question

Yes; however, you can only apply the number of tickets that matches the number of people you will have on your membership. We can only apply up to five tickets to any membership level.

Your sales receipt is required, tickets must be applied the day of your visit. This can only be done in person, not online.

Can I request a refund or transfer of my membership? Toggle Question

Membership purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Why must I name all the members on the account? Toggle Question

As a children's museum, the safety of our guests and staff is first and foremost on our mind. Naming all members on the membership, helps us maintain the security of your account. Family of Five memberships and above include one unnamed member for your convenience.

How long until I receive my membership information? Toggle Question

Welcome emails are sent out on Mondays and Fridays. Digital membership cards are also sent out on Mondays and Fridays. You can visit The DoSeum immediately using a photo ID for check-in.

Purchased a membership as a gift? Toggle Question

Download a certificate that can be personalized and sent to the recipient!

Giftees will receive their digital membership card via email but are welcome to visit immediately using a photo ID for check-in.

Membership Benefits and Visits

I have a Family of Five or above, do I need to be present for my unnamed caregiver to visit? Toggle Question

You do not have to be present for the caretaker to visit. Please share the digital membership card with them by using this link.

What are the other museums I can visit with my membership? Toggle Question

As a Member, you can visit other ASTC and ACM accredited institutions. The ASTC Travel Passport Program has various benefits. For a full list of details and participating museums, please carefully read here:

ASTC benefits cannot be applied within a 90-mile distance of the museum where you have a membership. Therefore, you cannot use ASTC benefits within San Antonio.

The ACM Reciprocal Network offers 50% off admission to participating museums. A list of those museums can be found here:


Can I bring Non-Members as Guests to Member-Only Hours? Toggle Question

Yes! Our Member-Only Hours and events are a great time for you and any Guests to enjoy limited crowd size while exploring our interactive galleries! Up to four non-member guests can accompany you on your visit at 50% off general admission pricing.

How can I view my Membership benefits? Toggle Question

You may view your membership benefits by tapping on the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the digital card screen. This will flip around your card where you will view a full list of your membership’s benefits.

Who can bring my children to The DoSeum? Toggle Question

Any adult over the age of 18 may accompany your children to The DoSeum. If they are listed on the membership, you do need to be present for them to check in with your children. If they are not listed on the membership, you do not need to be present for them to check in with your children; they must identify as member guests, and pay the member guest fee.

Membership Renewals

Can I Renew My Membership Before the Expiration Date? Toggle Question

Yes! Memberships that are renewed before their expiration date will extend the original membership expiration date by 1-year.

How can I renew my membership? Toggle Question

Renew digitally on our Membership page by using the exact member information (name and last name) listed on your current membership.

There are 3 easy ways to renew:

  1. Renew using the link emailed out a month before your membership expires.
  2. Renew over the phone by calling our membership department at 210-572-0626.
  3. Renew onsite at The DoSeum's front desk.

How can I check the expiration date of my Membership? Toggle Question

You can view your membership expiration date on the front of your digital membership card, right next to your membership level.

Digital Membership Cards

How do I add my membership card to my phone (iOS and Android)? Toggle Question

iPhone users access the email from your smartphone and click the "Download" button, then click "Add to Wallet" and "Add." The card will automatically go to your iPhone’s Apple Wallet. It can be accessed in the Wallet app at any time.

Android users need to download Wallet Passes from Google Play. After you have the app, access the email from your smartphone and click “Download” in the membership email, and the card will automatically go to your Wallet Passes app, where it can be accessed at any time.

My family member is on this membership account also, how can she/he receive a digital membership card? Toggle Question

Follow the instructions in this link to share the card between adults. The name on the card will always be the primary member’s name, regardless of who is using the card.

Share your Digital Membership Card

I downloaded my digital membership card but I can’t find it in the Wallet app? Toggle Question

If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the app for your new card (scroll through any cards that are already there--it may be hiding!). If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.

Can I request a physical Membership card? Toggle Question

Yes, you may request a physical membership card at the front desk if needed.
