FAMILY WORKSHOPS 

Create, make, and learn together! In our Family Workshops, families work together to explore STEM and art concepts through a unique family experience. This spring, take a deep dive into the anatomy of animals, learn how to make the perfect tortilla, or create and sew a never-before-seen stuffed animal. Class sizes are limited, so don't delay and register today! Each workshop includes all necessary supplies and materials. 

Recommended for ages four and up, with caregiver support.

Tissue Paper Art

Sunday, February 26 | 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Celebrate our special exhibit Very Eric Carle by practicing and perfecting the unique style of art that populated his books. You and your family will learn how to properly paint tissue to create a collage of your choice. Will you create animals, plants, or maybe even self portraits? All that's required is your creativity.

Registration costs $75 for Non-Members and $65 for Members and includes all necessary supplies and is equal to one family. (maximum of 5 participants per family)

Hearts and Parts Dissection - Sold Out

Sunday, March 26 | 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Let's take a deep dive into the anatomy of mammals. Each family will receive a heart, eye, kidney, and brain to explore the inner workings of our mammalian relatives. All specimens are sourced from reputable education-supply houses.

Let's Make Tortillas

Sunday, April 30 | 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

In this introduction to tortillas and other flatbreads, we'll introduce you to all of the steps to make that perfect tortilla. We'll provide the ingredients and equipment, all you'll need is your culinary curiosity - no advanced skills are required!

Plushie Chimera

Sunday, May 21 | 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Families will work together to create and sew a never-before-seen stuffed animal. Dad may make the appendages of a bunny, grandma makes the body of an owl, and the child makes a moose head. Then we combine the parts together to create a unique and memorable creature. We'll also discuss the habitat and behaviors of this new evolutionary wonder!
