Tips for making your visit as enjoyable as possible:
Educators will learn about Maker-Centered Learning and how this framework contributes to the development of agency: the ability to see the world as designed and be empowered to improve or innovate.
Educators will gain a deeper understanding of Maker-Centered Learning by engaging as learners in thinking routines. Having experienced these routines as learners, they will understand how the Maker Framework works and begin to consider how they might incorporate the Maker Framework into their other core content areas to encourage in students a sensitivity to design and build a sense of agency and maker empowerment.
Investigate the connections between STEM and Literacy. Teachers will experience hands-on learning models that bridge STEM and literacy.
