Popsicle Planters

For this DIY, we’re making Popsicle Planters! During this activity, learners can express their creativity while learning about gardening and experiencing the life cycle of plants. Using an aluminum can, popsicle sticks, and a few other supplies, we’ll create a planter that is as unique as the creator. It will be the perfect home for your beautiful plant or herb!

What You'll Need:

  • Craft / Popsicle Sticks

  • Empty Tin Can (with Holes Drilled into Bottom)

  • Markers & Stickers for Decorating

  • Rubber Bands

  • Scissors

  • Ribbon

  • Soil & Seeds

Building Tips and Tricks:

  • Before adding your soil, place a paper towel underneath your can. Remember the holes that you drilled in your can? The paper towel will help ensure that your table or counter won’t get dirty if the soil falls through the holes!
